During our Christmas Social the judging of our first photographic competition took place. Mary Nash, Chairperson of the Woodley Photographic Club, kindly agreed to be the judge and she was assisted by her husband Steven. There were several entries, Mary had a hard job picking the winning ones.

On Tuesday 20th December we held our Christmas Social Evening. We had a cryptic quiz on London Underground Stations (this was more fun than it sounds) the winning team were presented with a chocolate selection box. “MERG” held inaugural meeting of their Thames Valley Branch. 0

Ian Bishop is a member of our club and also MERG (Model Electronic Railway Group), he proposed setting up a Thames Valley Branch of MERG and contacted members along the Thames Valley. Sharptor exhibited at the Whitehouse Exhibition 0

Chris Marsh was invited to exhibit his layout at the Whitehouse Show, at Hampton on 26th November 2011. He was assisted by Mike Truslove and Andrew Nibb. Loddon Bay at the Gaugemaster Show 0

On the weekend 10th and 11th September Gaugemaster held their bi-annual show. We were invited to exhibit Loddon Bay, although this layout is now our oldest it performed very well and received many favourable comments. Club Barbecue 0

We had our annual barbecue on Tuesday 5th July. The weather was wet and warm, despite getting damp the cooks produced well cooked sausages and burgers, at times I thought we were sending out smoke signals. The members remained in the hall had a good chat while enjoying the food and drink.
