Jim Hancock Photographic Competition Rules

1. The competition will be held annually and will be judged by an independent Judge at the pre-Christmas meeting.
2. All members of the LVMRC are eligible to enter up to 3 photographs.
3. Photographs must have been taken by the author within the competition year starting on the 1^st December (of the preceding year) to 30^th November (of the current year).
4. Photographs must be particular to railways, either proper or model, on a subject to be announced at the pre-Christmas meeting.
5. Photographs must not be smaller than 6×4 or larger than A4. Larger or smaller sizes will be disallowed.
6. Authors may entitle their photographs but this is not a condition of entry. The authors name must not appear on the front of the photograph but must be written on a sticky label attached to the rear of the photograph along with the location and date.
7. The judge will decide upon first, second and third and may award highly commended to any other photograph.
8. The winner will be presented with the Jim Hancock photographic competition cup and will keep this for the following year and returning it in good time for the next completion.
9. The winning photographs will be published on the Clubs website and face book page.

10.  The judge’s decision is final.

This years topic is “Any railway related subject”
